    Virtual Books
The virtual books work when you click on the title. They appear as separate pop ups over the website. The Queen of the Cosmos URL carries the political cartoon books as well as the current update of the web comic. This Queen website is part of the Center for American Blogress, which is my fictional think tank. The American Blogress website itself is an archived older site that I've kept because I kind of like it. Most Vampire Bed and Breakfast books are on the Vampire Bed and Breakfast website, the various comic strips on elenasteier.com, except for TeeDogs and the Goth Scouts, which have their own page. Virtual political cartoon books are on The Queen of the Cosmos website. The Jane Quiet site has no virtual books. I'm loathe to fool with its gentle ecology which right now allows both Kate and I to fiddle with it. The Greatstufforama website carries a rather eclectic collection of books. The actual gateway to this virtual library is through The Striporama. That's were I note any updates and post news about my newest work. It's about fifteen years worth of comics and cartoons. I like writing and drawing my own stories. I'm happy at last to have a very gratifying means of presentation. ---Elena

Editorial cartooning allows for several levels of commentary, some ridiculously obvious, and some not quite so obvious. The cartoons drawn by Kelly (Ward Sutton’s pseudonym) in the Onion lampoon that level of commentary which works like a mallet on the brain. Labels which explain the joke completely. I go to the other extreme. I put [...]

When I’m with my mom, she comes up with these spontaneous stories. Here’s on that started with my finding a big old cockroach on the kitchen counter. She squinted her eyes after a first shocked look of amazement and said: “They can fly, those cockroaches.” Here’s the story: My parents came to New Orleans after [...]

Right before the snow came and the power went out, I came up with the bright idea to have an entire website dedicated to political blogs. I envisioned it to be like the Daily show, but lampooning print journalism instead of television. There’s a lot of nonsense out there, so it’s not as if I [...]

Nowhere is the total disconnect between reality and fantasy more evident than in the current debate about Food Stamps. The first time the right wing concern over Food Stamps came to my attention was a month ago at a business meeting where a dinner conversation started with the words “Obama is the Food Stamp President.” [...]

Written by a former counsel for the pathetic Tower commission, an article entitled “Wall Street’s Gullible Occupiers” appeared in today’s Wall Street Journal. Apparently, Peter J. Wallison has written many such articles putting the blame for the financial crisis of 2008 on the government. Makes me roll my eyes. He’s right, but then who is [...]
